Stilnovo Buonanotte Table Lamp – Giovanni Luigi Gorgoni (1965) | Italian Designer Lamp
The Buonanotte table lamp by Stilnovo, designed by Italian architect and designer Giovanni Luigi Gorgoni in 1965, is an iconic lighting piece that combines playful shapes, functionality and Italian design.
Its distinctive design features a white spherical glass diffuser and two rotating metal shades. Inspired by the different phases of the moon, these elements allow the light source to be partially or completely concealed. By simply rotating the metal shades, the light changes from bright and direct illumination to a soft and atmospheric glow.
Originally designed as a bedside lamp, the Stilnovo Buonanotte is now a versatile table lamp that fits beautifully on a bedside table, side table or sideboard. The opal glass globe provides pleasant, diffused lighting, while the adjustable metal shades allow you to create the desired lighting atmosphere.
With its compact size, geometric shapes and colourful finishes, the Buonanotte is a beautiful example of 1960s Italian design. A timeless design classic with a playful character that complements modern, minimalist and vintage interiors.
